GMP Adventures: The GMP team traveled by cargo ship from Oakland, CA to Honolulu, HI to tune up the Yokogawa DCS and make control system modifications. The ship requested tuning and control system modifications based on new transmitters, training, and controls to reduce operator interaction.
The cargo ship left Oakland on July 22 and arrived in Honolulu on July 27th. There was no internet and no phone. The schedule revolved around when food is available… which always makes for an interesting experience.
Ernest Smith, Director of Engineering for Good Manufacturing Practices states, “We’re honored to be an integral part of the ship’s process and look forward to our continued relationship with our client.”
