The ability to tune a PID loop manually is an art which is quickly becoming scarce, but, like driving a car with a stick shift, it’s one of those skills which can be very helpful in the right circumstance. Most modern control loops are equipped with an auto-tuning algorithm, but in spite of this, there are some loops these automated methods cannot tame.
Having knowledge of the different tuning elements and how to adjust them can help you bring these unruly loops under control. If you have the responsibility to keep the processes running at your plant or factory, this webinar will help you better understand the basics of PID control.
In this webinar you will learn:
- The purpose of each of the PID tuning elements
- How adjusting the individual PID elements will affect the process
- General PID profiles for pressure / flow loops
- General PID profiles for temperature loops
- An explanation of some supporting parameters like cycle time, manual reset, and anti-reset windup
Join us on Thursday, June 23rd at noon United States Eastern Standard Time to hear Dominic Castor., technical support engineer, discuss Device Level Ring. He will go over what “DLR” is and how it works with different network configurations. He will also go through:
- Network guidelines and recommendations when using a DLR network
- DLR tools that can be used to monitor ring status
- and More!
Following the presentation, Dominic will answer your questions.
We hope that you can attend the live broadcast. If you have a conflict, however, simply let us know and we’ll send you a link so you can download and view the presentation at your convenience. We will send a link to the recording to all those who attend the live broadcast as well.

The new 2015 revision of ISO 9001 introduces big changes in the quality management systems, so the purpose of this webinar is to clarify these changes and explain how to fulfill them.
The Gas Chromatograph (GC) is known as the workhorse of the online chemical analysis industry. It is one of the few analyzer types available that minimizes the likelihood of cross interference during measurement, and the GC is also able to measure multiple chemical compounds during each analysis to levels that reach parts-per-million and even parts-per-billion.
To ensure peak performance, efficient GC maintenance is very important, especially now that many end users face a decline in supporting technical resources. In this webinar, we will show you how to optimize a GC maintenance plan.
